Qualex Consulting Services, Inc. Accepted As A Solution Provider Under The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and Inks Federal GSA Contract Extension
MIAMI, July 7, 2009 — Qualex Consulting Services, Inc., a leading SAS solutions provider, announced today that it has been accepted as a solution provider under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Qualex also announces that their United States General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule contract has been extended for an additional five years. As it has for the past ten years, Qualex will offer consulting services to the federal government. Under this contract, federal, state, and local government agencies that have access to the GSA Schedule Contract program can contract directly with Qualex for all of their software consulting needs.
The GSA schedule enables federal government agencies to purchase products and services from approved Schedule holders conveniently and efficiently at pre-negotiated rates. Approval for the supplier requires an extensive and rigorous screening process to ensure that a company can provide both superior quality and competitive pricing. Suppliers who wish to do business with over 1,000 U.S. government agencies can use this schedule as a means to facilitate and streamline the procurement process.
“We are honored to have had our initial GSA Schedule modified and extended for an additional five years as this will strengthen our ability to provide software consulting services to federal government agencies as the need for our information services has become critical,” said Clive Pearson, Qualex’s president. “Qualex’s has worked with the Census Bureau, the Vetereans Administration, and the Comptroller of the Currency and looks forward to adding additional federal government agencies to our client list in the future,” Clive added.
The GSA schedule is one of the most widely accepted government contract vehicles available to procurement officers. GSA schedule is a five-year contract listing the prices the federal government has agreed to pay for a vendor’s commercial products and services. By pre-negotiating prices and providing impeccable references in advance, the supplier has cleared a significant portion of the hurdles that face vendors wishing to do business with government agencies. The contract may be renewed for three five-year periods resulting in a 20-year contract if all renewals are executed.
To be an approved supplier under a GSA schedule, the vendor must go through an arduous application and vetting process. Negotiating fair and reasonable prices for the services to be delivered is the most important aspect of application process. The GSA schedule is one of the most simplified and widely accepted government contract vehicles available to procurement officers. GSA schedule is a five-year contract listing the prices the federal government has agreed to pay for a vendor’s services. The contract may be renewed for three five-year periods resulting in a 20-year contract if all renewals are executed.
